General information, not legal or policy advice. Policies differ; your policy document and your insurer are the authority on your claim.
How a claim runs
-
Open your claim
Call your insurer and get a claim number. Write it down — every conversation afterwards is faster with it.
-
Give the insurer our information
Tell your adjuster you have chosen USA Autobody and give them our name, address and phone number. In California, the shop is your choice.
-
We submit estimates and supplements
We write the repair plan and send it to your insurer. If we find damage once the car is apart, that goes over as a supplement for approval before the work is done.
-
We keep you updated
You’ll hear from us when a supplement goes over, when approval comes back, when parts arrive, and when the car is ready.
Claims we handle
In California the shop is your choice, not your insurer’s. We work with whoever is paying for the repair.

Company names are the trademarks of their respective owners and appear here only to say whose claims we process. Listing an insurer does not mean we are certified by, contracted to, endorsed by, or affiliated with that company.
Two things worth knowing
The first estimate is rarely the final one. An early estimate covers what can be seen. Cars are built so impact energy travels behind the visible panels, so supplements are normal on anything beyond light cosmetic damage.
We cannot promise an insurer approves everything. No shop honestly can. What we can do is document the repair properly, make the case, and tell you plainly if something is declined.
